How we work
Small on purpose.
Which is the point.
We are a small software practice based in Chennai, building business systems for companies across India. No sales team, no account managers, no layer between you and the person writing the code — so whoever sat and understood your process is the same person who builds it, at a price a small business can afford.
Most small businesses have the same experience with software. They ask a large firm and the quote is a multiple of what the problem is worth. They try an off-the-shelf product and spend more time working around its assumptions than they saved. So they go back to the spreadsheet, and the spreadsheet keeps growing until nobody trusts it.
We started building the other option, and it begins with the part most people skip: understanding the business. Before anything is designed we want the exceptions, the workarounds, and the thing one person does every Friday that nobody wrote down. That is where software usually goes wrong — not in the code, but in what somebody assumed.
Only then do we build: systems narrow enough for a small business to afford, but held to the standard a much larger budget would buy — proper database design, real permissions, audit trails, reports that reconcile, and a deployment that stays up.
The affordability does not come from cutting quality. It comes from refusing to build screens nobody will open, from reusing a foundation already hardened across five production systems, and from running on infrastructure that costs hundreds of rupees a month instead of a server contract.
If software is not the right answer for your problem, we will say so on the first call. That has cost us projects. It has also meant nobody has paid us for something they did not need.
What you can count on
- Complete context, before any code. We learn how the business actually runs — the exceptions, the workarounds, the thing one person does every Friday that nobody documented. Software fails when it is built from a specification instead of an understanding.
- We build the whole picture. Not just the screen you asked for. If the invoice depends on the contract and the contract depends on the asset, all three have to be right, or you get a system that produces confident wrong numbers.
- Narrow, but never shallow. We refuse to build screens you will not use — and we refuse to skip the parts you cannot see. Proper database design, real permissions, audit trails. Depth where it matters, restraint everywhere else.
- Fixed price, and you own it. The number is agreed before we start, and the code, the data and the domain are yours from the first commit. Understanding the job properly is also what makes a fixed price safe to offer.

A conversation, not a questionnaire
Free, 30–45 minutesYou walk us through how the work actually happens today — including the spreadsheet nobody admits to. We ask the awkward questions early, because scope discovered in week six is what makes projects expensive.

A written scope with a fixed price
2–4 daysYou get a document listing every screen, every report and every rule, with a price and a date attached. If it is more than you want to spend, we cut scope together until it is not. Nothing starts until you have said yes to that page.
- 03
Build in the open
Weeks, not quartersWe deploy to a live staging link from the first week. You log in and click around while it is being built, so course corrections happen while they are still cheap, instead of at a handover meeting.
- 04
Go live, with your data in it
DaysWe migrate your existing spreadsheets into the database, train your team on the screens they will use, and switch it on. Real data on day one — a system full of dummy records never gets adopted.

Support that you choose to keep
Ongoing, cancel any timeThe first weeks of real use always find edge cases; those fixes are included. After that, take a monthly plan, call us per change, or run it yourself. The code and the database are yours either way.
